I am Co-Head of European Private Equity at KKR. I have spent the last twenty years at KKR helping to establish the firm’s strong German franchise, contributing to transactions such as Demag, DSD and MTU Aero Engines. Since 2005, I have focused on building out KKR EMEA’s Technology Media and Telecom industry vertical where I led many of KKR’s successful investments, including BMG Rights Management, Fotolia, GetYourGuide, GfK SE, Leonine/Mediawan, Scout24 Switzerland and Trainline and most recently Axel Springer SE. I also helped to establish KKR’s Next Generation Technology Growth Equity team and business in Europe.Having previously been a start-up entrepreneur, I am passionate about partnering with leading families, corporates and entrepreneurs to help them bring their businesses to the next level of embedding technology and sustainability in everything they do. I am also a music enthusiast in my free time and serve on the executive board of the Richard Wagner opera festival in Bayreuth to help transform and preserve one of Germany’s distinct art institutions for the future. In addition, I serve on the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London.
