HackConcordia is Concordia University's hacker collective where students get to meet new people, organize hacking events, and get updates on the latest hackathons Concordia will be attending. Hackconcordia is also the organizer of ConUHacks, a 24h hackathon bringing together hacking excellence from 5 continents to the very prestigious John Molson School of Business building in the heart of Montreal, QC. ConUHacks 2016 was an astounding success with 389 attendees from 29 universities from throughout North America, over 90 sponsor representatives coming from 20 companies, $20000 worth of prices, and over 60 project submissions. Overall, ConUHacks 2016 raised $56000 worth of sponsorship.As Vice President of Sponsorship and Finances, I:• Reached out to sponsors• Raised sponsorship• Interacted with potential business partners• Managed external relations with our sponsors• Managed HackConcordia's finances and treasury.I loved my experience as organizer of Concordia's first hackathon and biggest engineering event by ensuring that we provide the utmost level of quality to both our sponsors and attendees. When attending other hackathons, I heard several people from various universities citing our hackathon as the best hackathon they attended.
