Philip brings over a decade of dedicated experience in the mental health and nonprofit sectors and a profound commitment to fostering psychological well-being in individuals and communities.As a seasoned Clinical Psychologist, Trauma Therapist, and Play Therapy Practitioner, Philip has spent over seven years providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and adults. His passion for nurturing mental health shines through in his work, where he prioritizes the holistic well-being of his clients.In 2017, Philip took his commitment to community well-being to the next level by founding the Jenta-Reads Community Initiative. Over five years of dedicated service as a Coordinator within the local Jenta Mangoro community, he spearheaded initiatives to keep youth engaged in education and away from substance abuse. Through access to educational resources, mentorship, and safe spaces, Philip empowered young people to thrive academically and personally.Previously, Philip contributed his expertise to an Educational consulting and contracting firm, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing educational opportunities through library and educational equipment provision in Nigeria. His dedication to community service also led him to volunteer as a peer educator on adolescent reproductive health and substance abuse awareness in secondary schools. Additionally, Philip served as a Clinical Psychologist Intern in IDP camps, providing crucial support to individuals affected by the crisis in Jos, Nigeria.During his undergraduate studies at the University of Jos, Philip demonstrated exemplary leadership as the Student President of the Department of General and Applied Psychology.
