Our six limestone quarries are situated close to the A1 from Doncaster in the south to Tadcaster in the north. We also have a sand quarry at Hensall. We offer a full range of limestone aggregates for road construction, house building, concrete production and civil engineering. In addition Darrington Quarries now offer Recycled aggregates and certificated Greentree Topsoil, also Inert materials are accepted at our Barnsdale Bar quarry for Recycling/Restoration.Duties to include:• Visit a vast range of customers and communicate at all levels. • Developing new business opportunities.• Maintain and grow accounts.• Working to sales budgets to maintain volume levels while also maximising our product pricing policy.• Advising potential clients on product specifications.• Responsible for quotations, tenders, pricing and customer service.• Follow leads via planning conducting ground searches.• Analysed performance based on previous sales figures.• Liaise with site staff on construction sites to ensure production matched product program requirements on site.• Receive enquiries for sales from customers face to face and over the telephone.• Take orders and plan deliveries onto our easyweigh system.• Liaise with weighbridge operators to ensure customer service levels maintained telephone.• Liaise with transport operators to ensure customer service levels maintained.• Deal with drivers/onsite staff .• Handling of cash payments/cheque/and electronic payments.• Investigate complaints/queries and implement resolutions.• Maintaining customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. • Maintain a close communication with FCC service centre (Credit Control) to ensure credit limits and payments are controlled satisfactory. • Work under own initiative and conduct business in a professional manner.

Duties include:  Managing the planning and completion of routine maintenance and repairs to the UK Tanker fleet.  Demonstrating tight cost control measures with all aspects of expenditure whilst maintaining high standards of quality.  Proficient in the operation of the vehicle checking system, operated by TIP Tankers.  Organising and teaching vendors how to operate checking systems and also validating and passing invoices for payment.  Managing the recharging of all applicable costs from the initial inspection stage through to receiving and booking of payment.  Taking tanker reservations and bookings from customers and ensuring that all requirements are met, for both the customer and the company.  Ensuring maximum utilisation of vehicles at all times.  Maintain and support local branch IT systems Assist with the distribution of work to workshop staffManagement of a VOSA approved testing lane. In November 2009 a VOSA approved testing lane was installed on site at Knottingley, which I was made fully responsible for. This is included the service/calibration of the equipment used for testing, developing new business with both small and large customers, ensuring that all cash was collected and invoiced. The success of the lane over the last 12-15 months has enabled me to increase test days from 1 to 2 days after 6 months, then from 2 to 3 days after 12 months. With the test lane successfully for filling 3 days a week with both HGVs and Trailer, I have now added the testing of both small and large PSV’s
