Responsibilities include:Setting the strategic direction for service transformation in the FCO and agreeing this with senior leaders.Agreeing a prioritised roadmap with stakeholders as to which services would be transformed and in what order. Setting up agile management processes for the new service transformation team including setting up and leading the Service transformation board.Developing an agile delivery capacity and recruiting into the new positions agreed. Writing business cases for transformations, guiding them through relevant boards. Delivery of the services on that roadmap including making build or buy decisions, procuring services, direct product management and user research. Projects have budgets between £100k and £1m. Improving both the services offered to the public and the processes faced by staff. Achievements: Delivery of transformed services: leading a team to digitise over 95% of the FCO's transactions by volume, saving thousands of hours of staff time. These transactions have over 85% satisfaction ratings from users. This includes both the FCO's most complicated transaction, applying for an Emergency travel document, and the Chevening scholarship application system which was shortlisted for 2 ONREC awards. Business transformation: transforming processes for FCO staff, both for dealing with public applications and for internal staff processes, saving thousands of hours staff time per year. Helping structure and cleanse the FCO's data and deriving new products from this. Setting up agile management processes allowing us to deliver quality products at pace.

Responsibilities include:Product Management of 27 foreign language news websites including Russian, Hindi, and Burmese.Working to align the World Service sites with English Language news. Managing a team of 20 with a budget of £1.1m making products used by over 6m people and 2 000 journalists all over the world.Achievements: Leading a team which has delivered the first Responsive Design websites in Indonesian and Hausa (a Nigerian language), with 25 languages to follow.Delivery of smartphone and featurephone apps in markets across the planet. Implementing new delivery methods and processes which have helped ensure both delivery and quality.

Achievements: Delivery of a hugely improved and fully database-driven CBBC website; whose quality metrics went from a Net Promoter of 12 to an Appreciation Index of 83 Increasing the reach of the websites by 8% for CBeebies and 14% for CBBC to then-record levels of over 1m Unique visitors per week. Major update to the CBBC Newsround site.NMA's Best Entertainment Campaign award in 2011 having competed against adult and console game competition. CBBC was also nominated for BIMA's Best Entertainment Website award against adult competition.
