Overall responsibility for training and development of a team of 26 merchandisers, audit and monitoring of standards in over 240 sites across the central part of southern England as far north as Banbury, east to Chichester, south to the Isle of Wight and Jersey and west to Weymouth.Recruitment, retention and disciplinary procedures, troubleshooting and customer liason with major players in retail including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda, Wilko, Odeon, Cineworld, Showcase, Reel Cinemas, Poundland, Parkdean Resorts and Bourne Leisure.Working closely with my regional manager and regional teams to deliver a service to our customers and consumers that is second to none.

Basingstoke Stores

All day to day running of a busy dvd rental and retail store, responsible for security, training and development, cash and banking, scheduling and achieving budgets and KPI's I was personally awarded a certificate for excellence in operating standards prior to an official audit process being instigated.My store consistently returned the best operating profit and KPI's in the group with an excellent staff retention rate.I deputised for the district manager in their absence, dealing with any issues that arose, also assisted with the transition during structure changes to the organisation.

Basingstoke And Fleet

I was the site manager for a busy convenience store open from 6am to 11pm, responsible for all day to day running of the branch, recruitment and training of staff, scheduling, achieving budgets, compliance with licensing, tobacco and solvent law, holder of protection orders and justice's licences for the sale of alcohol.
