AIV Engineer. Technical Lead for the Bepi SEPS (Solar Electric Propulsion System) Endurance Test with responsibility for daily operations (up until spacecraft launch, Nov 2018).Lead Flow Engineer. Focussed on managing the technical delivery of third-party Bepi FCU’s and verifying their performance.

Focussed on the development and productization of a pyrolysis/gasification plant for the treatment of waste. My responsibilities include: the development and validation of a thermodynamic model that is used in sizing and design of equipment, understanding plant performance and validation of the business model; the acquisition and management of plant data, its analysis, interpretation and presentation; the identification and procurement of plant equipment. The waste treatment plant was built, commissioned and operated successfully in line with the challenging requirements set by senior management.

Responsible for a small group of engineers and technicians. Work focussed on increasing prototype cell production rates and liaising with a battery manufactures to mass produce battery packs. In addition, I played a pivotal role in the appliance of microwave plasma to fuel reforming, to produce hydrogen-rich gas for solid-oxide fuel cells. This necessitated the design and construction of a demonstration facility, spreadsheet modelling of the reaction processes, intellectual property administration, consideration of safety aspects and extensive experimental testing – I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty!

Assumed a lead role in the in the application of plasma technologies to vehicle gas clean-up; with responsibilities for product development and customer demonstrations in accordance with European emission regulations.
