Conception, development and implementation of the County Council’s new risk based approach to routine gully emptying with respect to the Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure Code of Practice. Development and maintenance of informal asset management procedures for gullies and drainage systems using geographical information system software, large scale databases, custom made databases and significant spreadsheets, as per the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan. Assisting in producing performance management data for operational supervisors and management, using spreadsheets and operational knowledge.Working closely and in partnership with external contractors to ensure services are delivered with minimal disruption to the general public, and in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.Providing a customer focused approach to investigating and solving drainage and flooding throughout the county, using my extensive experience and knowledge. Supporting management with technical and financial information and guidance as required, including providing advice on contract documents Supporting team mates with information and advice about previous issues in the county.Supporting other colleagues with IT knowledge, GIS skills, CAD skills and general computer technical support. Educating trainees and junior members of staff about current processes and future requirements.
