About Phil Bilderback
I am a passionate advocate for my patients and I deliver quality surgical care in a down-to-earth and relatable style for patients regardless of background. I am well trained in medicine and surgery from my time at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Virginia Mason Medical Center. I gained valuable additional experience as a fellow in Minimally Invasive Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery at UCSF before embarking on my career as an attending surgeon. The opportunity to practice medicine and surgery has been a great gift and I feel so fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity to do this for a lifetime.I believe strongly in the power of communication and education in medicine and feel compelled to make sure my patients understand what is going on with their bodies as well as the options for treatment. I am also committed to expanding access to life changing bariatric medical and surgical interventions and reducing the stigma against people struggling with obesity.
