I co-founded Family & Education (www.familyandeducation.co.uk), a specialist agency which is now a leader in the development and running of major education engagement programmes through schools & nurseries. This saw a record 606,049 design entries from school children from 7,479 UK schools.I co-founded iChild.co.uk, which is an education resources website that supports teachers, nursery carers and parents with thousands of resources linked to the early years and primary curriculum. There are over 400,000 professional and parent members of the service with more than 4.5 million children in their care. We recently launched a new Captivating Classrooms service for schools. This has been developed with experienced teachers and leading subject specialists, such as the Geographical Association and the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE), as well as Professor David Olusoga and scientist and award-winning children's author, Dr Mandy Hartley.The new service follows research with teachers in our network, through which we identified several subjects and topics where additional teaching resources were requested. These included Black British History, Geography (including Climate change), Science (including Evolution and Inheritance), Inspiring a love of reading to engage children in writing, Fractions and Computing.iChild members are at the heart of our engagement programmes. We ensure that all campaigns provide valuable support, information and resources to teachers, nursery staff and parents. This in turn provides the strongest engagement and results for our partner organisations, companies and brands.We now have a network of 10,000 nurseries and over 15,000 schools who have taken part in our recent engagement programmes.
