Directed a critical safety and culture change programme for Anglia route as part of the National Trackworker Safety programme established to respond to two Improvement Notices served on Network Rail by the government Office of Rail and Road (ORR) in 2019.Reduced ‘Red zone unassisted lookout working’ (i.e., working on the track with trains running and relying on human lookouts providing warning to trackworkers using just horns and flags) from 27% time on tools to below 1% and the Improvement Notices were subsequently closed by ORR.This reduction was achieved despite social restrictions imposed as a result of the Covid pandemic requiring innovative approaches to stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
