I’ve have 25+ years of experience in the construction industry, building both residential and commercial. The most recent project I worked on was a £12m Assisted living scheme which developed into a role encompassing the following: buying, procurement, health and safety, site management responsibilities and main liaison with the project team. Before that, I was a freelance Project Manager across 6 residential developments for Lovell Homes and refurbished a 300 year old Grade 2 listed building. I have worked for several housebuilders including Lovell Homes, Barratt Homes and Beazer Homes sometimes working on multiple schemes. I have received NHBC awards for the high quality of my work. I spent 10 years at Mansell Construction (now Balfour Beatty) where I was promoted and worked on a variety of multi-million-pound projects including RAF bases, data centres for the Government and complex needs schools. In terms of other work-related experiences, I am familiar with piling (CFA, Driven Cast in Situ and Vibro-Pile Ground Stabilisation), demolition, de-watering and the construction of pumping stations, roads, sewers and data cabling. I have had experience in concrete structures and large-scale slabs for plant areas.Whilst working on MOD works, I have taken charge of data cabling and additional upgrades in power supplies to data halls helping and understanding the client’s needs and requirements. I am competent with excel, construction databases and other associated hardware and software.

I am responsible for reporting to my contracts manager and divisional head on all facets of the site and have input into the client meetings. Other duties include, along with the managing quantity surveyor and his assistants, assessing costs and finding ways to reduce them, compiling the risk log and reducing the residual risk.
