Managed development of project procedures and specifications for use on Kearl and future oil sands projects. Coordinated engineering activities and technical documentation with procurement and construction departments. Oversaw the Engineering Surveillance Program. Upon completion of project responsibilities, moved to downtown Western Canada Major Projects (WCMP) home office as a charter member of a new team called Engineering Systems. Developed new procedures and processes for WCMP projects. Conducted roll-out seminars to several new Syncrude projects for instruction on new technical project procedures and specifications.

Assigned to the Construction Services Division, I had multi-project responsibility for bidding and execution of turnkey gas compression and power generation projects, onshore & offshore, worldwide. Responsible for schedules, budgets, engineering, procurement, and contractor management activities.

Served as Project Manager for engineering and procurement of Texaco’s Soldado Field Waterflood Project for offshore Trinidad. Lump sum turnkey project included new offshore gas lift compression platform & facilities, new offshore seawater treatment platform & facilities, sub-sea water injection & gas lift pipelines, revamp of eleven other offshore production facilities, and upgrade of onshore plant.
