Responsible for the effective and profitable management of major power station cladding contracts at Drax, Ratcliffe, Corby, Peterborough, Deeside, Connahs Quay and Didcot with contract values ranging from £0.75 million to £6 million. Also responsible for a number of smaller new build and building refurbishment contracts valued between £10,000 and £500,000.Duties included the co-ordination of design information, procurement of materials, programming and monitoring of progress, contract cost control and commercial performance, site safety and the implementation of company quality control procedures.

Sub-contracts Engineer assigned to co-ordinate and erect 125,000m2 of structural metal decking on the Canary Wharf Tower . Philip was subsequently responsible for the preparation of sub-contract enquiries, evaluation of tenders and placing of sub-contract packages totalling £6 million in connection with Drax Power Station.

Responsible for the project management and site erection of various steel structures in Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates ranging in value from US$ 0.25 million to US$4 million.Responsibilities included site planning, preparation of erection schemes, co-ordination and supervision of in-house and sub-contract works, monitoring of site progress and related commercial matters, liaison with Main Contractors and Resident Engineers.
