About Phil Crompton

Having led schools from 2000 I decided to operate in a different way from September 2018. I led schools in a variety of contexts and enjoyed building great teams which were equipped to make a difference. Most recently I was CEO of the Trent Academies Group which included the "outstanding" Rushcliffe School. When approached to work closely with Farnborough and Arnold Hill we formed a trust. It worked well. Each academy improved in so many ways. At the heart of our work was the belief that "everyone should be given the chance to shine brightly" thus creating "the most employable young people in the country". When I told the Board of my decision to step down they thought it best to merge with another smaller trust. It made sense and I supported the move with enthusiasm.I now coach, write and volunteer
