I’ve had long and passionate journey with community engagement in the Fire and Emergency Services sector, with a strong focus on building awareness of emergency planning and creating self reliance and resilience in the face of potentially disastrous emergencies. I have had the opportunity to participate in a range of community education programs including - Emergency management planning, property inspections (bushfire), extinguisher / warden training to town hall community information sessions.Along with this has been operational support roles eg media liaison, IMT roles and active firefighting roles (volunteer). Previous employment had seen me undertake work with Federal Intelligence Agencies, Enforcement / compliance with Victorian covid response and community cricket officer with Qld Cricket and Brisbane Heat.
