I acquired the assets of Focusrite Ltd. in March 1989. Focusrite Ltd. was the company formed by the legendary recording console pioneer Rupert Neve in 1985, following his break from his eponymous company, Neve.Since 1989 Focusrite has evolved to become a leading brand of professional audio products for music recording and other professional applications. Novation is a sister brand, acquired in 2004.With the process of democratisation of music production and recording over the past 20 years, enabled by advances in Mac and PC computers and DAW software the Focusrite customers range from leading professionals to novice music producers and students. The acquisition of Novation in 2004 provided a brand and the innovation basis to develop keyboard instruments and controllers for music production software like Ableton Live and Pro Tools. These are used by many Focusrite customers and the two brands co-exist very harmoniously.Focusrite PLC joined AIM, The Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in December 2014.
