Responsibilities: -Forward works program assembly, maintenance and execution;-On-budget delivery of maintenance program;-Works prioritisation within limited budget to achieve transparent and sensible best-for-network outcomes;-Weekly contract meetings with the client addressing safety, compliance with contractual response times, works package approvals, works priorities, customer complaints, budgets, jobs beyond routine maintenance, etc.;-Safety compliance of VR staff and… Show more Responsibilities: -Forward works program assembly, maintenance and execution;-On-budget delivery of maintenance program;-Works prioritisation within limited budget to achieve transparent and sensible best-for-network outcomes;-Weekly contract meetings with the client addressing safety, compliance with contractual response times, works package approvals, works priorities, customer complaints, budgets, jobs beyond routine maintenance, etc.;-Safety compliance of VR staff and sub-contractors;-Auditing sub-contractors for safety, quality and traffic control compliance;-Assessment of the adequacy of sub-contractors’ safety and quality systems;-Contract assembly, procurement, monitoring and close-out;-Scoping and estimating of works packages for all road infrastructure;-Leading, developing and maintaining a result-focussed team of 8 road workers, 1 supervisor and 1 operations officer-Coordinate response to significant weather events-Contributing to ongoing development of Asset Vision asset management software through contribution to the VicRoads user group.Key Projects: >Development and roll-out of a works scheduling and compliance reporting system, which drove up compliance and performance to above-target levels within a number of months.>Roll out of “Take 5” last-minute risk assessment to complement existing safety system>Innovative products and approaches were utilised to refine routine maintenance practices, resulting in a quantifiable pavement condition improvement and net reduction in effort, freeing up time to allow additional proactive maintenance to be undertaken.>$1M of reactive and pro-active maintenance work was scoped, assembled, scheduled and executed within a 2.5 month window.
