Ensured compliance to work pack ‘cutting’ to ensure safe procedures followed in an ambiguous, never before environment with zero safety or injury incidences.• Partnered closely with the planning department, providing expert insight to support appropriate costings, capturing components requiring extra duties or cleaning to make safe in the planning phase and supporting comprehensive permit procedures preventing incidences.• Provided expert content advice across all departments, consulting operations and leading the way in finishing with pride, delivering safe closure and high standards to the end. Automation reduced up to hours wasted waiting for Permits to be issued and re-issued when incorrect, and improved turnaround time.• Refined Isolation Lock Board Systemisation, prioritising isolations, consolidating multi-disciplinary tasks to the same permit and documenting pre-planning tasks for time heavy critical tasks. Stronger processes led to stronger alignment to deadlines, more efficient completion of works and ability to rapidly complete works and bring plant back online.• Developed strong relationship with Maintenance teams, building knowledge and understanding on both sides of critical tasks, allowing for cohesive, seamless transition between teams and faster completion of overall planned works including SIMOPS coordination.• Streamlined the Reliability and Process Engineer sign off process, developing a pre-completed Sign-Off spreadsheet, allowing seamless completion of isolation period between shifts, negating previous 12 hour wait times. • Developed ‘Punch List’ prioritisation schedule, capturing each task and risk assessment including those which could be safely completed post sign off. This allowed for rapid de-isolation and plant restart, whilst ensuring critical tasks were still completed once plant was online.• Implemented second ‘walk down’ check to the de-isolation process, eliminating risk of valves being forgotten and improving safety and production outcomes.• Developed and implemented the global confined space entry blinds tracking system and software. Successful planning, isolation, execution and start-up saw the equipment offline for only 24 hours (against a five-day standard shutdown period). The strategy is still applied today, with a pre-planning mindset embedded as team culture from induction. • Developed and facilitated training and ‘Train the Trainer’ process improvement, operating procedure, system and safety courses to groups of up to 20 at a time across a site of over 400.• Critically assessed maintenance and process practices to optimise operational efficiency, implementing procedures to improve identified gaps in maintenance and process activities leading to attainment of “Saving $20M” site wide target. • Developed the Business strategy to drive the Performance Metrics (KPI’s), consolidating on-the-ground team members to adopt new processes and embed continual improvement mindset culture.
