Phil is a Partner in Baringa’s Energy Advisory Services practice having co-founded Redpoint Energy in 2004. His energy consulting career started in the mid-1990s and has since worked for many of Europe’s leading stakeholders in the energy sector including project developers, regulators, Governments, investors and lenders. Phil has led Redpoint’s transaction advisory in European power markets, advising on multiple high profile transactions over the last decade in markets including GB and Ireland, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium and Romania. He combines a deep understanding of the European policy and regulatory frameworks, with expertise in market fundamentals to evaluate risks and value drivers in a range of generation and infrastructure assets. He has led multiple projects assessing the future trajectory of the European power markets to facilitate policy development, business planning and investment strategy, and is a trusted advisor to many of Europe’s largest investors in the sector. Phil’s key areas of specialism include: transaction and investment advisory, commercial and market due diligence, energy economics, European power and gas market fundamentals and strategy evaluation.
