Assist K-20 School Districts and Colleges in designing strategic, technology integration plans centered around the Future-Ready Framework, ISTE Standards, Design Thinking, and Project RED Research. Technical Lead on coaching engagements with the Digital Promise District Coaching Team conducting audits for effective implementation of technology initiatives and producing technological needs assessments for developing flexible learning environments including online, remote, and e-Learning opportunities. Evaluate and consult on innovative educational technology products and vendors to provide them with practical use case studies and strategies.

In this role I maintain the district student information system and provide end-user training. Oversee data shared among student information system and other digital systems. Responsible for district ISBE SIS reporting and the CRDC Report. Oversee student registration systems, residency procedures, and district translation services. Supervise Applications Software Administrator and student information staff.

Designed and Implemented 21st-Century Classrooms in all 180 classrooms in all 4 schools in the district. Oversaw the technology aspect of building a new, state-of-the-art elementary school, administrative building, and transportation center that allowed for maximum use of flexible learning environments. Developed a robust network infrastructure to support our award winning, District-wide, 1 to 1 iPad Initiative in grades Pre-K through 8. Instrumental in earning the coveted Apple Distinguished Program Designation. Collaborated in implementing one of the state’s first district-wide, computer- science immersion programs at all grade levels, called “Code to the Future”. Contributed to and oversaw the technology aspect of redesigning our district libraries through the Design-Thinking process to create flexible learning spaces that incorporated Maker- Spaces, STEAM Labs, Green-Screen Studios, Interactive Panels for TED Talk presentations, and communal learning areas both inside and outside the library. Established, co-authored, and successfully implemented the district’s eLearning program that was chosen to be one of only 3 pilot programs in the state of Illinois for exploring the concept of eLearning in place of an in-climate weather day in 2016.

Oversaw the technology department for the school district that encompassed over 4000 students and staff in seven buildings. Developed a robust, gigabit, fiber-optic Wide-Area Network connecting each of the district’s seven buildings and converted all computer devices across the district to a DELL enterprise server based system with enterprise level service to each device and computer lab.

Sought out new business, estimated, bid and laid out new technology infrastructure projects for corporate, educational, and industrial entities. Purchased materials and equipment for those projects and assisted in the implementation and installation of those projects.

Instrumental Band Director specializing in low-brass and jazz studies for the school district. Created the district’s first Jazz Ensemble that competed in several Jazz invitational competitions. Developed the school’s first MIDI/Electronic Music Curriculum in conjunction with installing the first networked computers in the school district.
