It is historical fiction covering the period of 1960 to 1963 and it deals with the social issues of the time. It follows two young men attempting to understand those issues. It culminates with both of them joining the US Submarine Service.The second book, "BEYOND THE RIVER BEND" is in editing and it should be available in the September/October time frame. It is also historical fiction covering the period from 1917 to 1951. It follows a poverty stricken young man born in the Red River Valley of Texas. His family was considered "White Trash". The label drove him to change his family's sharecropper life style as he moved through the depression and WWII.
