• I was responsible for assisting in the out-clearing cycle of personal customer and business credits and cheques also called vouchers from NatWest and RBS branches in the South East Region which covered Hampshire, Berkshire, South London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and the Channel Islands. • Key work areas I was involved with were: • Data Preparation: Receiving, scanning, weighing and then delivering work to Transport Area.• Transport Area: Processing vouchers through high… Show more • I was responsible for assisting in the out-clearing cycle of personal customer and business credits and cheques also called vouchers from NatWest and RBS branches in the South East Region which covered Hampshire, Berkshire, South London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and the Channel Islands. • Key work areas I was involved with were: • Data Preparation: Receiving, scanning, weighing and then delivering work to Transport Area.• Transport Area: Processing vouchers through high speed reader sorter machines on capture and then encode passes and perform RTS or Refer to Source where voucher data couldn't be validated for a variety of reasons. • I was also called upon on several occasions to go and assist at other sites in the clearing operation such as Goodmans Fields in London for both out-clearing and in-clearing operations when they were desperate and to Bellshill in Scotland which was opened as a satellite site with processed data being sent on to Crawley.• Ensuring service levels were maintained by checking vouchers were packed into their correct place and matched their corresponding paperwork and Docket Control Voucher (DCV) at the end of the night before they were packed, sealed and collected by courier and despatched to the clearing exchange at Goodmans Fields in London.• Assisting my department Team Leader by covering for him as and when required to and dealing with the work flow situation by prioritising the work load and delegating tasks to other team members and being a point of reference to less experienced operators to ensure queries were dealt with correctly.• I helped produce daily departmental statistics on Excel and then displayed them in the relevant area in the department.• I was actively involded in training new members of staff to perform various jobs and making sure they were doing all tasks correctly by sharing best practice knowledge with them in line with the agreed high standards of service level codes and centre performance levels.
