Tutored 5th and 6th graders on various academic subjects in my spare time while I studied myself for the Law School Admission Test in November 2020.

Managed political advocacy projects (often comprised of multiple outreach offices across the state), such as candidate elections, ballot initiatives, voter registration, petition drives, surveys/polls, fundraising, events/promotions, business/grasstops outreach and literature distribution (at the state/municipal level). Oversaw projects for their entire duration from their inception (via client consultation) to completion; including developing the project budget, procurement of office space(s) to lease, recruiting/on-boarding/training entire canvass staff and management team, administering payroll, composing canvass scripts and reference material for use at the doors, as well as ensuring all deliverable-centered goals and deadlines are being met to client satisfaction.

Compiled and distributed communications to constituents, local press entities, and other state legislators; researched a variety of policy areas; prepared fact sheets and presentations for the representative’s legislative bills; wrote the monthly newsletter; completed daily data entry; managed the representative’s daily calendar; planned events both in the Capitol and in the representative’s home district; and organized grassroots re-election campaign centered around a district-wide outreach tour, including press interviews and photo opportunities used to develop literature and PR materials.

Managed a political outreach office comprised of as many as 50 employees while attending college. Trained staff on how to collect petition signatures, register people to vote, and to generally communicate with people at their door about a variety of political causes, issues, efforts and candidates. Also assisted with recruitment efforts, canvassing personally, driving employee(s) to canvass areas, among other miscellaneous administrative tasks such as filing and office organization.

Canvassed (knocked on doors) and managed a team of 5 other canvassers for a municipal-level petition drive during my first summer of college. Informed voters about the initiative and asked ~200 people daily to sign the petition. Duties also included the transportation of canvass team to and from canvass neighborhood(s) as well as training new canvass staff.
