• Managing the non-academic resources, strategic and operational planning activities, governance matters, and leading a flexible and responsive administrative and technical support service to School staff and students.
• Lead, manage and develop the School’s Administration and Technical Support Teams to ensure the achievement of school and university agreed outcomes.
• Effectively plan, manage and review processes, services and systems associated with the effective provision of governance, human resource management, work health and safety and risk management, finance, student.
• A member of the School Senior Executive team, the University’s Professional Leadership Group and the ECU Work Health and Safety Committee.

• Effectively lead and manage change management and improvement strategies to ensure that the school culture is focused on customer service, problem ownership, vision and outcomes, professionalism and standards.

• Leading the HR Client Services team in the development of university-wide policies, standards and guidelines and the provision of proactive strategic and operational services, advice and assistance to ensure the.
• Lead the team in process improvement programs and collaborative development or implementation programs with Faculties/Centers and other staff relating to new initiatives or service improvements.
• Manage or co-ordinate the resolution of problems relating to the HR areas requiring a university-wide response and ensures appropriate consultation and communication strategies are in place to inform staff of progress.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop high-standard reports, position papers, other written submissions, recommendations and project plans for discussion with the Director HR and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
• Develop or lead the development of educational programs to support the provision of HR information advice and services to ensure compliance with the University’s policies and practices.
• Reporting to the Director, line manage and develop a professional HR team consisting of HR Account Managers, Coordinators and Officers.
