Responsible for defining, determining the significance, and identifying the opportunities made available through an in-depth understanding of future transportation trends. This is a broad assignment to expand upon my previous success at understanding and capitalizing upon future trends. In this role I initiated and brought to fruition several opportunities (both organic and through acquisition) that will lead to significant growth.

In this role, I developed a means to identify future trends and to identify the opportunities made possible by these trends. This has become the major strategic direction for the company and a major focus of the CEO. Prior to this groundbreaking work, the company had missed several important opportunities due to a misunderstanding of the relevance of the transportation trends. With this new approach to understanding the trends, several new products were identified and successfully pursued. More importantly our product development is focused on new opportunities made possible by the changing transportation marketplace. We now have a vision towards the future that was previously absent. In addiction I developed a set of innovation metrics which are now used as part of a bi-monthly report out. These metrics, embraced by the business units are measured with the same rigor as the financial performance. Finally, I developed a family of energy saving actuators which are predicted to be a major disrupter to the actuator market.

Responsible for identifying and developing next generation products. Lead a global team to develop the next generation of valve train products to compliment our product leading cam phasers. This inclcued fully variable systems and electric phasers.

Integrate new technology into our current product lines on a cross business unit basis. Provide technical support for upper management.

Led a global product development, analysis and testing team. Developed several new product lines which helped grow the company over 5x during this time period.
