Supporting the delivery of UK Business transformation programme, specifically on the development of Leadership, Talent and delivery across three key measures of Colleague engagement, Customer satisfaction & delivering profitable growth.

Across the Halfords Group of companies, I drive forward the people development strategy for all colleagues. This incorporates a broad population of circa 10,500 people in retail, auto centres, central support functions and distribution / logistics. Leading a team of design and delivery professionals, creating learning across multiple platforms, partnering directly with business leaders, their people business partners and other centre of expertise heads, my role is to realise the ambitions and plans for the business into tangible outcomes.I have a real passion and love for development. So heading up a people development team plays to my many strengths, especially being able to combine creativity and commerciality with the continued growth of business through the people within it.With a long history of delivering, some of the proudest moments I have experienced recently are the establishment of a leading Traineeship & Apprenticeship programme from a standing start to feature in the top 100 in the UK, in only 10 months.The establishment of a cutting edge Learning Management System, to enable delivery of a structured training pathway to circa 8,500 colleagues across 470 stores through e-learning and face to face training. In addition this programme created opportunities to reward colleagues financially and with national qualifications as they progress.I have, through an in-house leadership development team and third party providers, created a career pathway to increase the ability to promote from within, reduce external recruitment costs and improve retention. Whilst this provides financial benefits, it has also created greater engagement across a key population to ensure the business has been able to meet it's growth ambitions. Building further on the engagement agenda, I've created a suite of additional learning opportunities, through masterclass, business briefing and external speaker workshops that provide broader aspects of the business world.
