The night staff position requires ensuring the chapels, video/audio equipment, and reception suites are ready for the families. We try to ensure the "life celebrations" of a loved one goes without a hitch and exceed family expectations. I connect callers to counselors or when possible, answer their questions. I strive to show compassion to families when picking up their loved one, explaining the basics of what I and my co-worker will be doing and briefly explain the paperwork they need to review to make decisions. Occasionally, I am a director on a funeral service. When needed I assist other departments.
