My experience has been that the most effective concepts are created when utilizing the collective knowledge and strengths of the design team. Regardless of the project or its leader, designers must rely on all the people and elements surrounding them to achieve the best results possible. Good ideas can come from anyone or anywhere; titles and job functions aren't always reliable predictors of concept quality. Often in brainstorming sessions when someone has a seemingly good idea, another team member may use that thought as a catalyst to suggest an even better idea. Truly great design and marketing are the byproduct of a cohesive Team effort. During my 16+ years as the Creative Director for BSSI/Microflex I had the good fortune to work with some distinguished Marketing Directors and leaders (Chuck Slay, Jeff Durski, Peter Peckham, Bob Cramer, Karin Wennerstrom, Kim West, Diane Kordecki, and Kathy Zanzucchi), each with their own unique style and strengths. A strength of mine was the ability to adapt to the style of each one, continuing to produce award winning designs utilizing the Team approach and leading the creative process by example.I am excited to bring this same attitude and approach to Anjel Design.
