While working for a company in Melville, NY in the late 1980s I was asked to help implement a new "Just-In-Time" ordering system for raw material inventory. That was my first exposure to computers and all they could do and I was hooked. Wanting to learn more I returned to college at night to get my degree in Computer Science. At the same company, I was asked to join the IT team and helped write relational database modules in Paradox Application Language for the same JIT system I helped implement. As a member of the IT staff I was also responsible for helping to maintain the network, workstations and all infrastructure involved.During the years that followed, I would help family and friends with various computer issues and it was suggested to me by my wife, Beth, that there would be a need for this kind of service and support for people and businesses. At the time I didn't think she was correct but I quickly found out I was wrong. As personal computers became more widely found in homes and businesses I decided to test the waters and Microfocus Computer Services was born. I incorporated in 2001 and continue to this day.Microfocus Computer Services, Inc. provides on site consultation, technical support and maintenance to consumers and businesses across Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island, New York. I provide a full range of services including virus removal, new computer setup, home and office networks, office server and domain controller setup & configuration, general troubleshooting and more. All services are performed at the customer's home or office eliminating the need for the customer to remove it from its location.It has been said to "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life". I am proud and happy to say that I have done that. I have a true passion for what I do and enjoy the excitement of my work everyday.
