Phil Sanfilippo is the Director of Training for Tri-Tech Forensics, Inc. (Tri-Tech), a leader in the forensics market. Tri-Tech provides evidence collection and crime scene investigation products, as well as state-of-the-art training to crime laboratories and crime scene investigators throughout the world. With over 30 years of experience, Tri-Tech is the nation’s most proficient developer and manufacturer of forensic kits and is committed to providing customers with state-of-the-art forensics products and training at affordable prices. It is Tri-Tech’s goal, through an established research and development program, to continue to develop superior products and training, to aid in all aspects of crime scene investigation and crime laboratory analysis.Phil retired from his career as a sworn law enforcement officer in the State of Florida from 1979 to 2011. From 1994-2011, he was assigned to the Miami-Dade Police Department's Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute (formerly known as the Metropolitan Police Institute) as the coordinator of Forensic Training Programs. These programs include Crime Scene Investigations courses, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis courses, Fingerprint Identification and Processing courses, and Photography courses. In addition to administering these programs, Phil continues to instruct all Photography courses at the Institute and many aspects of the Crime Scene and Fingerprint Processing courses.Phil began teaching Photography at the college level in 2010 when he joined the faculty of Broward College as an adjunct professor. Here he teaches the Forensic Photography and Visual Documentation course at the Institute of Public Safety.
