With 17 years’ experience (First Manager post in 2006) of successful leadership and developing teams against measurable outcomes, I possess strong leadership skills and have a resilient approach to situations with the ability to withstand adversity and ‘bounce back’ from difficult events. I currently lead and develop teams within the Health & Social Care sector as a Team Leader, reporting to the Service Manager of Liverpool City Region North. I am proficient in applying legislation within my role such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding (DoLS) and applying the six principles of the Care Act 2014, and discussing concerns at a multi-disciplinary setting. I am also aware of my statutory duties with regards to other legislation such as GDPR and Equality & Diversity. I have worked and managed teams both within Learning Disability and Mental Health areas. I adopt an asset-based approach for improving health and wellbeing and improving life chances for individuals by focusing on what improves their health and wellbeing with a view of reducing preventable health inequities. Within my previous employment I become experienced in applying interest and writing tenders and securing new opportunities by securing bids and have the necessary experience of the stages involved. I also built and maintained positive relationships with Commissioning & Contract Managers across a number of local authorities. I am also a certified Yellow-Belt in Lean Six Sigma with the purpose to make all business processes as efficient as possible.
