Appointed as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to enhance the current team and give commercial support to Project Managers on various contracts in the Northern Region of the business. My primary duties consist of validation of contracts, negotiation of sub-contracts, negotiation of domestic sub-contracts, monthly financial reviews, interim valuations, cash flow forecasting, managing and tracking labour, measurement and valuation of additional works, day work accounts, client final accounts and sub-contractors final accounts.

Providing contract services to specialist mechanical, electrical and BMS contractors whilst giving competent advice on contractual position and the rights and obligations of parties alike. During my time at Maitland QS I worked for several high profile M&E contractors including NG Bailey, Rotary, SES Ltd and Airedale M&E. My role consisted of carrying out all commercial duties on projects from inception through to completion.

Working for a ductwork manufacturer and ventilation contactor, I was responsible for the day to day running of projects from initial receipt of the design drawing through to the manufacture of ductwork and the installation on site. Further roles consisted of settlement of accounts with the client, sub-contractors and supply chain.
