Ever since I can remember, I've had a passion for creating and building.This need to build things is likely what drove me to start a social media agency with friend and now business partner (and still friend!), Kane. We launched Giraffe Social in 2012 and have grown it steadily into one of the UK's leading social media agencies. We're driven by three things; generating meaningful results for ambitious brands, encouraging a human-first approach to marketing, and building a company that people are proud to be a part of.That same curiosity for how things are built once had me wondering, "what if there was a place where bookworms could learn about the reading habits of the successful". Hence, The Reading Lists took its first breath, and two million visits later, it's luckily more than just my Mum checking it out.Between agency life and book chats, I also have the unique privilege of frequently traveling and exploring the world. Not as the protagonist, but as the sidekick to my wife who just so happens to be an incredible luxury destination wedding photographer. I might be the MD at Giraffe, but when we're travelling - I'm the bag carrier. I actually kind of like that.Balance is a constant battle. I'm a self-confessed workaholic who is trying to slow down. Amid the hustle, there's LEGO—a seemingly child's play, but for me, a mindfulness exercise. Reflecting on my own brushes with anxiety, these building blocks remind me of the importance of a mindful workspace.
