After postgraduate education as a PhD student with at Kent University and in collaboration with Shell Research, I worked as postdoctoral research assistant Leicester and Reading University and Leicester University. In all cases I was looking to understand and apply knowledge of bacterial genetics, in the fields of production of animal feed form natural gas, denying disease causing bacteria of a vital ability to obtain iron in the body and finally improve the ability of food fermenting bacteria to produce human foods and animal feeds. I then moved to a lectureship at Cranfield University with whom I have had a Professional relationship ever since. This involved research in the above fields and later in cancer diagnosis and prognosis leading to over 100 publications, funded by government, the European Union and industry and leading to appointment as Professor of Industrial Molecular Biology. I also gained administrative and managerial experience becoming Head of a key university Institute in 1999, a post held until 2005. International experience was gained though holding overseas Research Directorships in the diverse arenas of Pakistan and later Japan, I left Cranfield in 2007 to set up my own consultancy. This has been involved in the development of educational programmes with Cranfield, UK professional bodies including The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs and Charities and overseas in India and Pakistan. I specialise in development of new postgraduate courses and training, their delivery, assessment of students and academic staff at educational institutions. I also undertake supervision of a range of projects and particularly enjoy the challenge of working overseas.I have recently diversified with projects including development or railway station travel plans, and providing as well training for air ground communications services at Enstone airfield.
