Server decommissioning and virtualization, converting an environment exceeding 100 physical servers into one with less than 10, while simultaneously increasing server availability and reducing lead time for new systems from over a week to less than a day. Relocation of data center to new facility, requiring regular communication to senior Executives providing status and risk analysis, daily cross-functional teamwork and extensive project planning.

Sole on-site IT facilities management, server and desk side support for 100+ users at a financial software development company. Daily use of Active Directory, VMware, Backup Exec, Desktop Central, Siebel, McAfee AV and EPO.

I administered a mixed environment of over 350 IBM servers and HP blades running NT 4.0, Win2k and Win2k3. We were migrating to VMWare and had about 30 virtualized servers. We used Legato Networker as our SAN backup and recovery solution. We administered Active Directory group creation, server and share permissions. McAfee was our anti-virus software and we used a combination of Tivoli and Microsoft Operations Manager for server monitoring. We were also responsible for load-balancing and drive space management. We use Remedy as our ticketing system. I was the lead for our group's disaster recovery planning, for the three day bi-annual exercise itself as well as for the post mortem.

Maintained server farm of over 200 Windows NT 4.0, and Win2k servers. Managed backup and recovery, patching, security, anti-virus, load-balancing, drive space management as well as disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Provided first level support for Windows OS and MS Office products for all US based Levi Strauss & Company employees. This also included remote hardware troubleshooting, telecom support and NTFS security maintenance.
