Our team recognized the benefits of many different worship styles and introduced 3 different services -- Traditional, Contemporary, and Modern. This helped encourage people in their faith walk.I served on the building committee for a $3.2M project encompassing build-out of new sanctuary, children's ministry area, parsonage, and parking lot. By working together, our volunteer workforce saved the church an estimated $500K.

Senior PastorPleasant Valley Ub Church 1991 - 1998Lake Odessa, MiI was called to pastor a church of 100 in a sanctuary that seated 100. To our delight, we were packed every Sunday but we found that people were hesitant to invite family/friends to join us due to space limitations. With this in mind, I started two services and, within a couple of months, we began to see growth.I encouraged cross-congregation relationships with 5 other United Brethren in Christ churches in the same school district and, together, we formed a youth center. I served as Chair on the Board and helped through the foundational process of hiring a pastor and putting together by-laws.
