With over 50 years of work experience, I am a seasoned venture capitalist, board chair, and senior advisor, with a passion for supporting innovative entrepreneurs and transforming medical care and education. My mission is to leverage my skills and expertise in strategy, startups, and executive management, to help visionary companies achieve their full potential and create positive impact. As a Senior Advisor and former Managing General Partner at USVP, one of the oldest and most respected venture capital firms in Silicon Valley, I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having invested in and guided companies across multiple sectors and stages.In addition to my role at USVP, I was also the Chair of the Board of Directors at eCornell, an independent, entrepreneurial corporation that provides state-of-the-art online distance learning capabilities to faculty and academic units across Cornell University for nearly 20 years. I have been involved with eCornell since its inception in 2002, and have helped it grow into a successful and profitable enterprise doing about $100 million per year in revenues , offering more than 160 courses and 40 certificate programs to over 200,000 students worldwide.
