  Philadelphia Teaching Fellows is a highly selective program that trains accomplished professionals and recent college graduates to become high-impact teachers in high-need schools throughout the Philadelphia area. As a Fellow, you can make a difference for students right away by joining a network of committed, passionate teachers working to end a legacy of educational inequity.Last year, just 58% of Philadelphia students graduated high school on time. Teachers, who have a greater impact on student learning than any other school factor, have the power to change their chances. Unfortunately, our highest-need schools struggle to attract and retain teachers that are capable of helping close the achievement gap for students who have fallen behind, particularly in critical-shortage subjects like math, science, Spanish, and special education. We are transforming this reality by recruiting and training excellent teachers capable of dramatically increasing student achievement in schools across Philadelphia.
