Principal Project Manager
Project: Haughton Pump Station 2Responsible for the project management and administration of the project for the design stage; concept design, issue for tender (IFT) and issue for construction (IFC) phases. The Haughton Pipeline Project will enable Townsville to replenish the reservoir at Ross River Dam with water drawn from the Burdekin River and pumped via a new pump station and 65.5km pipeline. The overall project objective is to deliver a performance proven water transport system capable of sustainably, reliably, and economically transferring 364 megalitres per day (ML/d) from the Burdekin River to the Ross River Dam. Stantec are responsible for the design of the Burdekin Pump Station (and associated deliverables), comprising of the following components:• River Intake: to draw water from the Burdekin River and convey it to a low-lift pump station wet well.• Low-lift pump station: to lift the water from the river intake to ground level sedimentation tanks.• High-lift pump station: to deliver water from the sedimentation tanks to the Haughton pipeline (also referred to as the mainline).
