Member of the board of directors for the Okanagan Regional Innovation Centre (ORIC). I was privileged to be a part of an organization that grew from a one man show in White Lake to a multi-office incubator for the Okanagan Valley. ORIC has since merged with OSTEC into a new organization called Accelerate Okanagan.

Member of the Strategic Planning Committee and Chair of the Technical Planning Committee. Membership includes Mayors, City Managers and IT managers from eight municipalities within the region.Assisted in designing the architecture and developing the feasibility study for the implementation and operation of a regional fibre optic network stretching 144Km from Vernon to Oliver, British Columbia, Canada. Although the project was ultimately not funded, it generated excitement and awareness around municipal fibre optic opportunities.

These included: Ethernet, ATM, FDDI, TCP/IP,Security and Disaster Recovery.Supported multiple Network Operating Systems and application servers. These included: Microsoft NT Server and workstation, Novell server and client, Digital Pathworks, VMS on VAX and Alpha, and BSD and Solaris versions of UNIX. Authored documents that defined company wide standards and wrote tenders to acquire new equipment.
