CurrentManaging a Health and Safety Management System in accordance with all legal and legislative requirements. Liaison with relevant Regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders as required. Establishing and managing appropriate policies, procedures and safe systems of work to ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health and safety. Ensure all health and safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered, reviewed, updated and communicated. Providing competent, expert advice on all aspects of safety, health and welfare in line with legal requirements, standards, codes of practice. Ensuring the Agency meets its statutory obligations. Monitoring, reviews and auditing to ensure that Senior Management are accurately appraised.The completion of site-specific Safety Statements and Risk Assessments as legally required.Providing expert advice, guidance and support in the reporting, documenting and investigation of all accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences. Conducting investigations and reports into accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences. Managing and undertaking routine workplace health and safety inspections and audits. Advice with regards to corrective and preventative actions required arising from internal/external inspection reports. Liaising with key stakeholders to identify (health and safety management) strategies and actions for managing risk. Liaising with Estates for all required maintenance, inspection and testing requirements.Responsibility for establishing and delivering a structured programme of health and safety training.Participating in regular Regional Senior Management meetings and committees by developing, producing and delivering statistical presentations.Actively suggesting, developing and promoting initiatives to ensure the development of a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture throughout the region.
