Phil has over 40 years of working in IT from application design, development, marketing, sales, delivery and support across a range of industries.Starting in Wellington in IT services, Phil left for London and a startup business designing, developing and installing wholesale banking systems. Over the next six years, he helped grow the business to over 140 staff with customers across the globe. Moving into the delivery side Phil covered all aspects of delivery from consulting, configuration, training through to delivery management.1989/90 was spent in NZ before returning to Europe to manage several installations of the system into banks in the eastern bloc. He then returned to NZ in 1995, where he had long term stays at system vendors J.D.Edwards and SAP before starting an SAP services company – Tango – in 2004. Over the next decade he grew Tango to one of the top SAP service providers before being acquired by Deloitte in late 2013 where he stayed as a Senior Partner running the combined SAP practice.Phil has been successful largely due to his passion for what he believes are the basis of any successful organisation: People and Processes.He believes developing talent and realising potential, giving them responsibility and freedom to grow and learn is the cornerstone to a successful organisation. Adding to the people aspect, processes and having effective systems in place to support those processes, are essential to running organisations. This passion has given rise to Phil sitting on a number of boards including Hortus, a leading provider of Viticulture Services, and later in 2018, eTrade, a new venture offering a reverse auction procurement platform to businesses around the globe.Following a short consulting stint in 2018 with TTC as a director looking after global sales, Phil became an owner of Resync, a new young vibrant testing services business. Phil's most recent appointment sees a return to providing SAP services to a growing number of organisations around the globe.
