Recruited to fill long-term vacancy of division IT executive and complete stalled electronic health record implementation. Assessed condition of EHR implementation, field and helpdesk support, and user education. Restructured department and recruited new IT management team. Member of division executive team.Initiated RFP process with existing and new vendors. Led detailed selection process with substantial clincian engagement. Selected new vendor based on mobile technology (Android tablets) for clinicians. Deployed initial branch go-live in 4 1/2 months from contract execution. Completed remaining 17 branch go-lives over subsequent 5 month period.

Head of IT department for Telecare Corporation, one of the largest providers of mental health care services in the US operating over 60 facilities across the full spectrum of healthcare - hospitals, sub-acute crisis centers, skilled nursing facilities, case management and intensive community treatment programs. Telecare provides care in California, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon, and Nebraska.Telecare specializes in providing services and supports for individuals with serious mental illness. In many cases, these individuals also suffer from co-occurring disorders including substance abuse issues, developmental disabilities, or have medical challenges associated with aging. Many Telecare programs are run under contract for county or state governments, as well as serving private payors including Kaiser Permanente.

Responsible for strategy/planning and operations in support of UHS, which is comprised of a wide range of clinical operations (multi-specialty ambulatory care clinic; mental and behavioral health, ancillaries including pharmacy, laboratory, radiology; employee services including workers compensation, occupational health, Employee Assistance Program) and a self-funded insurance plan. Deploy new systems to meet business objectives: Administrative/billing (Nextgen Practice Management), electronic medical record (Nextgen Ambulatory EHR), ancillary clinical systems (Orchard laboratory, McKesson pharmacy), web-based customer service.
