Phil County has a very strong record of executive leadership within complex organisations and a unique blend of experiences covering in depth knowledge of digital technologies through to successful business transformations with strategic modelling of digital capabilities.As the Principal of County Consulting Phil provides a set of advisory services covering strategic planning, risk analysis and governance frameworks, organisational redesigns, applied information intelligence (analytics), portfolio/project management, and advice on appropriate business models (architectures) for successful Cloud deployments.Before creating County Consulting Phil held the position of Executive Director - Technology and Knowledge Strategy at Victoria University. Preceding roles at Victoria University were Director Information Technology Services and Associate Director IT Networks and Computing.These roles had institutional strategic planning accountability across a diverse portfolio and responsibility for the provision of an efficient, cost effective, ICT division covering multiple campuses, including services to many international partners (particularly China). Phil's work focused on the development of strategies with in depth institutional engagement, delivering reproducible and reliable services to “a community of” clients continuously improved through annual quality reviews and benchmarking.In addition to long standing governance participation at Victoria University (e.g. Audit and Risk Committees) he has held similar external roles (e.g. Chair Victorian Directors of IT, Board Member - VERNet) and delivered numerous presentations on a broad range of topics.Earlier Phil was a lecturer in Computer Science at La Trobe University with primary responsibility for teaching/research in network engineering. He has also held leading roles in building advanced data networks and in creating a vision for a global Internet connecting educational organisations.
