In my current role, I wear several hats. I oversee scheduling, day-to-day operations, manage material orders and delivery, coordinate with subcontractors, stores, and customers, meet with customers to review progress on their project, regularly touch base with customers to keep them informed, and handle Receivables/Payables. I've generated leads, followed up with leads, and turned opportunities into profitable sales. From time to time, I even swing a hammer.

During my time in the Marketing & Sales Department, I regularly met with Developers and Implementation Consultants to discuss industry trends, product direction, and to gain a better understanding of how our new SQL-based applications improved our clients' processes. I gained familiarity with SQL tables, SSRS reporting services, Crystal Reports, data conversion from jBASE to SQL, CSS formatting, and several other coding languages. From this, I was able to create marketing collateral that spoke to the benefits and advantages of our software rather than simply stating what it did. The feat that I am most proud of is when I taught myself VBA coding and developed new cost calculators that allowed our Account Managers and Account Executives to fill out a form complete with radio buttons and check boxes that took the information submitted in the form, ran it through queries on the backend, and produced costs for both upgrades as well as new products based on a tiered-structure determined by myself, the Sales Manager, and CEO of the company. These reduced turnaround time on proposals by over 80% by giving our Sales team the information they needed in a single location, from a single form, and at the click of a single button. Increased turnaround time resulted in increased productivity and a growth in sales.

As I&CSC, I worked closely with our Implementation Consultants to find the best practices in strategically planning implementation plans for each municipal government client. I was also able to gain experience in communicating with clients as I was responsible for fielding incoming calls for new cases to add to our CRM system, and made follow-up calls on cases that were found using custom queries I created for the Services Director to clean out cases that no longer needed addressed. Here, I began to understand the amount of work it takes to change from one system or platform to another in the ever-changing technological landscape.
