Working with Steve Martin Associates I was responsible for the analysis, design and development of a cloud based client management system for managing expert witnesses and clients in the UK legal system. The application was built using the Microsoft development stack include Microsoft SQL Azure and Azure mobile services along with a desktop client written C#/WPF. Future development will include an iOS client developed using Xamarin forms.

A member of a small team using the latest Microsoft and Autodesk development tools to design and develop key features of the Company’s core software suite for the aviation industry. Often the work involves interpreting and working to aviation industry technical specifications such as ICAO PANS-OPS and FAA TERPS procedure design criteria and AIXM data exchange formats.In addition I create rapid prototype/technology preview applications in response to marketing department requests. The technologies used included, C#, Winforms, WPF/XAML, Autodesk Object ARX, SQL Server 2012 and SQL Azure.

Currently, working as part of a team delivering technical documentation in the field using innovative mixed reality software. Technical content such as service and workshop manuals are managed centrally using Congility Content Server and then downloaded to Microsoft Hololens 2 devices as required. Working closely with Congility and the end user, I am designing and developing the Hololens 2 application from the ground up. The application is being developed using Unity, Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Mixed Reality Tool Kit. The biggest advantage of using mixed reality verses a simple laptop is the significantly increased flexibility/mobility it gives engineers working on large installations. They retain the use of both hands for practical tasks, navigating the content using spoken commands or simply by gazing at controls. The content display will also “follow” the engineer as the move around the shop floor and machinery.

My client wanted a web-based lead management system for use by their internal and external financial advisers. It is used to record and track the progress of mortgage and insurance enquiries from initial contact to closure. I was responsible for gathering the requirements, designing, coding and testing the system in a remotely-hosted environment. The solution was written using a combination of Silverlight 4, WCF RIA Services and SQL Server.
