We sold Maitri to Hiku Brands (CSE: HIKU) 11 months after the brand generated its first sale. Hiku Brands was acquired by Canopy Growth (NYSE: WEED) 5 months following Maitri acquisition. My role during the transition with Hiku brands:- Transitioned Maitri financials and processes into IFRS- Brand management: Annual brand plan, marketing strategy, product development - Scaled Maitri accessory production capacity 20X, while reducing COGS and keeping the same (or higher) brand quality standards- Distribution network development - PR/Media relationship- Government relationship for Quebec

I helped to design and size different types of process equipment (pumps, dryer, HX, etc.). I had the opportunity to take the lead on the design of a vapor and compressors system for a major lithium extraction plant in Quebec. Worked closely with another client to optimize an electric plant in Ontario (coal) and design a system to store their energy during low usage period.

Sante Cannabis is Quebec’s first medical clinic specializing in cannabinoids for medical purposes. I oversaw everything from client services, managing patient medical files, working with/finding new suppliers, communications, and public relations. I was also in charge of the planning and development of a wellness center attached to the clinic where we held Montreal first Ganja Yoga classes.

I worked In close coordination with Cascades and Pr. J-M Lavoie to developed a chemical process to generate an added value chemical out of de-inking sludge (waste). I oversaw everything for the study from building the workbench, operating the chemical reactors, operating the chemical analysis lab and optimizing the catalytic reaction. The project was transferred to a Master student following my 4 months internship.

I learned to work with strict rules and protocols with clients such as government army. As per my chemical analysis background, I oversaw every operations in the lab. I developed analytical and testing methods to meets the highest military standards. I also wrote multiple standard operating procedures to meet our client expectations.

I oversaw every chemical analysis to ensure chemical process stability. I was often brought into troubleshooting teams to solve different problems related semiconductors chemical process, gold plating process, and plasma deposition. That's where I really knew I wanted to be an engineer.
