CurrentSenior Image Engineer Broker Direct PLCM.Inst.A.E.A - M.F.I.E.A - ATA-VDA – AMIMI - AQPVery experienced Senior Image Engineer and team leader with responsibility for the motor engineering unit, My varied role includes visual inspection of vehicle damage and calculating & negotiating pre-accident values for multiple prestigious clients. I confirm the correct repair method and authorise work with repairers nationwide using the Audatex estimating system, in conjunction with Thatcham escribe methods, to ensure vehicles are restored to their NCAP safety rating. In addition, I negotiate total-loss settlements with customers and identify the appropriate salvage category.I ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets are met. My responsibilities extend to conducting one-to-one meetings with team members, undertaking staff development reviews and recognising training requirements.Additionally, I have a fine eye for detail to identify potential fraudulent activity, unrelated or pre-existing damage and vehicle modifications which may breach policy terms & conditions. I report on latent or patent damage to vehicles which have suffered mechanical failure or have illegal tyres, which could lead to repudiation or a void policy to support the business and wider industry. I inspect policy holder and third-party vehicles from images and report on causation to assist with liability establishment. I also determine the likelihood of occupancy movement for personal injury claims and produce written reports to assist in claims and fraud investigations.I am proficient in handling complaints and perform a root cause analysis of the complainant’s issue. I compile final response letters which consider the Financial Ombudsman Service standards, to ensure continued fair treatment of customers. Furthermore, I provide recommendations to improve internal processes when applicable.I follow set procedures and practices including abiding by GDPR and company data protection policies.
