HSBC was looking to overcome issues with the analysis and design activities and were in need of Basel credit risk analysis skills- Developed a business case investigating ongoing issues with the analysis and design phase of the group’s in-house development of its Basel Credit Risk systems. The option chosen was to develop a tool to enable the business analysis team to accurately assess the systems impact of change requests, reducing the risk of rework following user testing. The tool now forms part of the bank’s strategic capability to trace data throughout its systems.- HSBC was moving towards a Regulatory Reporting solution for credit risk using Moody’s Analytics products, chiefly Risk Authority. * During project initiation, led a programme of workshops with Moody’s consultants and business analysis teams to explore options for supplying bank data to RiskFoundation and configuring the tool to produce compliant COREP reports. * Acted as Basel II/III domain expert during the requirements definition phase, documenting detailed requirements and reviewing them with stakeholders

Worked on a flagship programme of redesign and development to improve & streamline HSBC's Basel II capital adequacy systems. Carried out Business Analysis for multiple releases, documenting as-is processes, defining to-be process and data models, high level solutions and detailed functional specifications, negotiated final solutions with the business team and supported the build and test phases Defined a new Lead Analyst role and carried it out over multiple BAU releases, ultimately handing it over to permanent staff.
